The Global Exchange Rates API provides a simple and reliable way to download official exchange rates from central banks and tax authorities (providers) worldwide.We also provide daily exchange rates of all the available currencies, calculated using our proprietary algorithm blending the official data from central banks and the market rate from commercial institutions.📌
The provider code that should be used to retrieve our internal exchange rates is GLOBAL. If no provider is specified in the API call, GLOBAL will be used.
Exchange rates#
It is possible to request the /latest (most recent) exchange rates or the exchange rates for a specific date throughout the /historical endpoint. The historical data is available from 1st January 2024.You can retrieve the list of supported currencies using the /currencies endpoint, and the list of supported exchange rate providers using the /providers endpoint.We perform every day more than 5.000 automated tests on the published data and review manually any possible anomaly, to ensure that it is accurate and reliable.The central banks data is updated every hour, while our proprietary exchange rates are published daily at 17:00 GMT.
